We here at the MCBL, work hard to provide a venue for our area collegiate ball players, to play the game they love in an environment that enhances their skillsets and camaraderie with each other.  We also provide much exposure to our players via social media, and up to date stats and leaders so their college coaches can track the progress of their players.

With the “flattening of the curve”, we knew that this summer would be extremely challenging for us.  But we were still looking for an open opportunity to play, albeit a shorter schedule, but maintaining all the bells and whistles that college coaches, parent and players are accustomed to.  But to wait any longer, would diminish our product and we no longer feel that this is doable.

We have been in touch with many different league officials, government officials, and health officials, and sadly there is nothing determined of when the boys of summer can start to play.  Regretfully, we are cancelling the 2020 Summer Season.  I know how disappointing this is, but we must protect the health of our players, coaches, MCBL staffers and the families.

We will return 2021, bigger and better than ever.  Our plans for cross league All Star game is still in play for next year.  We will also host a JUCO showcase for the JUCO player to be seen by area college coaches so they can transfer to other programs and continue with their collegiate careers.

Any questions, concerns, or ideas on how we can improve, please feel free to reach out to us at
mcbl@metropolitanbaseball.com.

Thank you,

MCBL Management
